Guiyun, national first class actress, member of Chinese Dramatist Association, is the winner of “First Prize” at Chinese Opera Young Performers’ Contest She was born in an artistic family. At the age of six, she began to study Opera performance, and learned a lot from famous performing artists such as Chen Yuelou, Zhou Zhongchun and Dong Changshen. She was specially trained on vocal music and performance by Specialists Jin Tielin and Zuo Qiwei, etc.In 1993, she performed Zhong Kui at Young Performers’ Contest of Hebei Province and got the First prize. Lots of Newspaper reported her about her excellent show, such as Drama and Film Daily, Dig Stage, etc.In order to celebrate the 4th World Women Congress, CCTV made a series TV programs named “Chinese Women Facing to 21st Century” in which “Wu Guiyun study Opera” is the only play of Hebei province. This program was played not only on CCTV, but also on Lassvigers TV of U.S.A, etc, won great acclaim.In 1997, when the president of Cote d’lvoire visited china, he specially saw Wu Guiyun’s play Hong Kui, appreciated her highly, and took her handwriting “the Hymn of Plum Blossom” written during performance  to his country. In 2000, she got the Best Performing Award at Hebei Local Opera Exhibition for her show in Zhong Kui. In 2002, she won “First prize” at National Local Opera Contest sponsored by Ministry of Culture . Zhong Kui, Reconciliation Between South and North Dynasties, Exchanging Prince By a Cat, Killing Son at Yuanmen, etc, in which she play the leading role won great acclaim by specialists and audiences home and abroad. She took part in many kinds of entertainment programs on CCTV, local TV lots of times.
